One of the world’s foremost conductors, this honest and entertaining autobiography, which was published by the University of Wales Press in September, looks back at the events and people that have shaped and influenced his life. Speakers at the launch included Professor Simon Hasslet of the University of Wales, University of Wales Council Member and Chair of the University of Wales Press sub-committee Tony Ball, Director of the University of Wales Press Helgard Krause and World leading cellist Julian Lloyd Webber.
Julian Lloyd Webber, who has shared the stage and performed with Owain spoke of his admiration for the Conductor and went on to say that he was “very pleased to see the publication of Owain’s autobiography”.
The speeches were followed by a one-on-one interview with the author himself conducted by literary critic Catrin beard.
Following the speeches and interview, guests attended a wine reception where Owain signed copies of his book and talked to guests.
