University of Wales Council: appointment of independent member

The University of Wales is currently is in the process of merging with Swansea Metropolitan University and the University of Wales: Trinity Saint David.

A vacancy has arisen in the transitional period for an independent person to join the governing body of the University of Wales. Applicants should have substantial experience or expertise in one of the following areas – management (public, private or voluntary sectors), finance (banking/accountancy/investment), audit and risk, legal and governance matters, human resources and employment, estates management, planning and resource allocation, project management, international relations, public relations, communications and Welsh heritage.  Applications from people in underrepresented groups, including women, minority ethnic communities and disabled people are welcomed.

This is a non-remunerated position but travel costs and other reasonable expenses are payable.
