Over the past months, the First Minister of Wales Carwyn Jones, AM has travelled across the country taking questions from people in their communities as part of a series of public meetings.

The tour, dubbed ‘Carwyn Connect’, has already seen the First Minister visit Merthyr Tydfil, Rhyl, Bangor, Newport and Aberystwyth, and on the 15th October, the Dylan Thomas Centre in Swansea will play host to an event.

Running between 6-7.30pm, it is an opportunity for the local community to have their say and directly ask the First Minister the questions they want answered. The event is free but people are encouraged to register their interest in attending online via Eventbrite.

You can submit your questions to the First Minister in a number of ways. When you arrive at a venue, in advance via email on cabinetcommunications@wales.gsi.gov.uk or via Twitter using @fmwales with the hashtag #carwynconnect.

Speaking about the event, The First Minister said:

“I want to see as many people as possible coming along to let me know what’s on their mind. But it’s not just about the issues. I want these sessions to be positive events. I want to hear your ideas on how we can work together to build a more prosperous Wales.

“It’s your chance to meet and speak to me in person, to have your views heard. I’m really looking forward to it. See you there.”

Speaking about hosting the event, Centre Manager Helen Hall said:

“1825 Conferences & Events are happy to host part of the First Minister’s tour here at the Dylan Thomas Centre. The location and facilities at the Centre are perfect to host public meetings and lively debates, and there will be plenty of space for members of the local community to attend”.
