Four students from Cardiff University’s Welsh School of Architecture will see their horizons broadened thanks to a University of Wales Travel Scholarship.
Worth £2500 each, the University of Wales T Alwyn Lloyd Memorial Travelling Scholarship will be awarded to students Arran Ewin, Katherine Jones, Matthew Smith and Lee Marable – all studying towards a Bachelor of Architecture (B. Arch).
The awards are aimed at enabling scholarship holders to continue the study of Architecture by means of travel. In the past, winners of the scholarship have gone as far afield as China to sate their appetites for international architecture.
As a condition of receiving the award, scholars are required to write a report of their travels upon their return, which they will present at an official function organised by the University.
