From the 3-5 of June, all Prince of Wales Innovation Scholars, companies, supervising academics and associates will gather at the handsome University of Wales Gregynog Hall near Newtown, for the inaugural Prince of Wales Innovation Scholarship (POWIS) residential programme.

This residential programme has been designed to benefit POWIS scholars, partner companies and partner universities and is also specifically geared towards developing and training POWIS scholars, while also aiming to benefit partner companies and academics.

Professor Marc Clement, The University of Wales Vice-Chancellor, who being one of the founders of POWIS, will conduct an introductory speech at the conference. His talk will centre on his experiences as a world class physicist, inventor, government advisor and successful entrepreneur.

Other speakers will include: Steve Brown a lecturer at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology; Paul Birchell, Project Management Trainer; and Dr Marcus Heuberger - an expert on intellectual property commercialisation and management.

It is hoped that the three days on the beautiful Gregynog estate will be a fruitful opportunity for scholars, businesses and academics to forge closer relationships and understanding.
