Course Documentation request 2010/11
Dear Colleague,
All collaborative centres offering validated schemes of study are required to submit, on an annual basis, a copy of their course document programme specification and student handbook for each of their validated programmes for the forthcoming academic year. We ask that you do this because, as a validating body, the University of Wales is required by the QAA to hold a comprehensive and current record of all validated schemes of study.
Programmes of study are subject to change through revisions to assessment, programme content and staffing, and your course documentation must be updated to reflect these changes. Submitting these documents to us on an annual basis ensures that we have the most up to date information about your programmes.
You are therefore required to submit a copy of each of the following for each validated programme of study:
Course document
Student handbook
Programme specification
For those programmes that are taught and assessed through a medium other than English, pleasealso submit a copy of the programme specification and the student handbook in the language of delivery.
Please note that you must submit each one of these documents and the programme specification must be completed using the attached programme specification template. We ask that you submit a hard copy which should be accompanied by an electronic copy on CD/USB. We cannot accept these documents by email; those submitted by email will not be logged and you will be asked to re-submit in the format specified.
You are requested to send your documents to the following address. All documentation must be with the Validation Unit by no later than Monday 15th November 2010:

Please be aware that as submission of these documents is obligatory, non-returns will be reported to the Validation Board and appropriate action taken (which could include the withdrawal of validation).
