January 7th
Welcome back and a happy New Year. I hope you all had a well earned and valued break, a chance to recuperate, see friends and visit family.
The Student Liaison Officer team are back for their second term to improve your experience whilst studying for a University of Wales degree.
This term we have the next Student London Hub, and a Research Students Conference to plan, as well as a University of Wales Alliance Student Forum (UWASF) Raising and Giving (RAG) charity walking marathon event. More on these events will follow over the forthcoming weeks.
The SLO team are keen to visit you at your institutions, so please invite us along by emailing:

The week ahead is looking to be set with lots of organising of events, confirming prices and attending planning meetings with both staff members here in UW as well as staff and students out in our centres.
The first of my visits will take place next week, meeting with students from the Prince’s School of Traditional Arts. I look forward to meeting with you, and following on to the other 11 centres with research degrees validated by the University of Wales.
With the New Year come new plans. Rhys and I will now take it in turns to write the student blogs so you will now hear from us on a fortnightly basis regarding what we have been up to, making the news more extensive, cohesive and intriguing.
So, see you in two weeks.
