Brough Prize In Logic, Philosophy Or Psychology

The Prize is provided from the income of a Fund to be administered by the University under a deed of trust dated 22 July, 1927, to perpetuate the memory of the late Professor Joseph Brough MSc LLD, Professor of Logic and Philosophy at the University College of Wales, Aberystwyth, during the years 1883-1911.

Eligibility

Awarded annually for best:

  • dissertation for the degree of Master of Arts
  • thesis for the degree of Master of Philosophy
  • thesis of Doctor of Philosophy

on a subject definitely within the province of Logic, Philosophy or Psychology.

Amount

 £2,000 which may be divided between two or more suitably qualified applicants
