Follow these instructions to get started...
Step One: Login Details
To access the Online Library subscription resources, you need a Global Campus username and password.
Students: you will receive your login details once the University of Wales receives your full registration details from your local institution. For more information, go to the Username and Password| page.
Staff: if you are involved in the delivery or adminstration of University of Wales validated programmes and you need access to the Online Library resources, your name and email address should be added to the staff record for your Collaborative Centre. This must be done by a member of staff with administrative access to the University of Wales website. For more information, go to the Validation Unit Contacts| page.
Step Two: Logging In
To log into the University of Wales website (which gives you access to the Online Library resources), click on the MyWales log in button that appears in the menu bar at the top right of every screen:
Enter the username and password that you received in your welcome email.
If you are logging in for the first time, you will be asked to change the temporary password that you received in your welcome email and choose a GoogleApps| username. For instructions, go to the Login from Welcome Email| page.
When you have logged in successfully, you will be taken to your myWales dashboard. To go back to the Online Library, select the Online Library link from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Step Three: Select Your Subject Page
From the Online Library homepage, choose your subject from the subject menu on the left of the screen.
Step Four: Select A Resource
Each subject page contains links to all the resources the Online Library subscribes to for each subject area. The resources are divided by resource type into: ebooks, databases, ejournals and other resources (free subject gateways and websites). Click on the tabs to see which resources we offer for each subject. For more information about the Online Library subscription resources, see the what resources are available| page.
To access a resource, click on the name of that resource (it is easier to navigate back to the Online Library pages if you right-click and open the resource in a new tab or window). If you are already logged in, you will be taken directly to the resource. If you are not already logged in, you will be asked to enter your username and password before being re-directed to the resource.
