About Validation
The University of Wales seeks to establish links with centres of good standing on a national, international and global basis, whilst ensuring that its academic standing and integrity is safe-guarded at all times.
In undertaking its duties it works in co-operation with established international agencies (such as the British Council) and according to guidelines laid down in accepted Codes of Practice issued by, for example, the QAA|, CVU|, UUK| and the University itself.
The definition of validation
Validation is the process by which an awarding institution judges that a programme developed and delivered by another institution or organisation is of an appropriate quality and standard to lead to its award.
Successful students receive a certificate, diploma or degree from the University of Wales.
Why the University validates

Undertaking validation facilitates the development of mutually productive partnerships between the University and education providers in the UK and overseas and maximises the University’s status as a national award-granting University in an international context.
