In these cases, the personal information you give us is used by The University of Wales for providing you current and future information about the University, its offices and central services as described in this website, or its Institutions. We do not pass any of your personal data to any organisations outside of the University’s Institutions and/or to any individuals except where it is necessary to complete an order for goods and services.
Personal information is also recorded where you are accessing pages of the site which require authentication. In this cases, the username used during authentication becomes part of the web site log files and may be used in any investigation of suspected security breaches. These logs are removed approximately every 3 months and do not form part of the internet monitoring scheme used by the University.

IP (Internet Protocol)
All networks connected to the internet use IP, the technical standard which allows data to be transmitted between two devices. TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) is responsible for making sure messages get from one host to another and that the messages are understood.
